From the radiant crescendo of her 2017 showcase, Noora David found herself propelled by an insatiable desire to metamorphose her final collection into a symphony of everyday adornments. Inspired by the enthralling narrative of Tiamat and Marduk, her creations beckon us into a realm where mythology intertwines with the tangible, each piece an embodiment of a saga that resonated deeply within her.

Immersed in the tale, Noora's creative spirit resonated with the exploits of Tiamat and Marduk. Their saga, an ancient melody that struck a resonant chord within her, became the warp and weft of her final collection. Here, her artistry took on a life of its own, mirroring the very essence of the characters that fueled her imagination.

Tiamat assembled an army of dragons and monsters led by the god Qingu, but Marduk overcame these fearsome forces. He commanded the wind to enter Tiamat's mouth and puff up her body. He then killed her with an arrow that split her into two halves. With one half he created the heavens, and with the other, the Earth

In the grandeur of her workshop, dragons and monsters found form in the delicate dance of metal and gemstones. Channeling the commanding presence of Marduk, Noora breathed life into her creations, each one a testament to the triumph over formidable forces. The wind, personified by her skilled hands, entered Tiamat's mythical maw, breathing vitality into every meticulously crafted piece. And in a crescendo of artistic brilliance, an arrow, like a quiver of inspiration, cleaved Tiamat into two halves.

The resulting collection, a spellbinding series of brooches, talismans, and necklaces, emerged as tangible relics of this mesmerizing myth. With one half, she sculpted the heavens, and with the other, the Earth—a tangible ode to the celestial ballet that unfolded eons ago. Noora's masterpieces transcend mere accessories; they become a tangible manifestation of a narrative that weaves together the mythical and the mundane, capturing the very essence of her artistic inception.
